The 2022 Ford Ranger is the ideal midsize truck if you’re looking for power and great value. This capable crew cab offers class-leading capability and many impressive features. Check out the new Ford Ranger.

What’s New

The 2022 Ranger lineup includes the exciting new Splash Edition. This 90’s throwback includes a brilliant orange and black body, gloss black accents on the bumper, and matte black 18-inch wheels.

Two Configurations

You have two configurations with the Ranger: Supercab or Supercrew. The Supercab has a 6-foot bed and two seats in front and two in the rear. There is also storage underneath the seats.

The SuperCab XL model has a removable rear seat for even more storage and four doors. The SuperCab XL seats five with under-the-seat storage.

Performance

The Ford Ranger leads its class of gas-powered engines with 310 lb-ft of torque and 270 hp. The Ranger has a 2.3L EcoBoost engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. With a towing capacity of 7,500 pounds and a payload capacity of 1,860 pounds, the Ranger delivers the performance you need for any adventure.

Rear-wheel drive is standard on the Ranger, with AWD optional. The 2022 Ranger has an available Terrain Management System with driving modes that optimize the Ranger’s performance depending on driving conditions and weather. These selectable driving modes include normal, mud, gravel, sand, snow, and grass.

Towing

The Ranger has a 3500-pound towing capacity making it ideal for towing a small trailer. If you add the tow package, the Ranger’s capacity increases to 7500 pounds and adds a 4-7 pin wiring harness, which allows you to hook up the Ranger to a Class IV hitch receiver. Trailer sway can be partially controlled using the Trailer Sway Control feature, which will brake and adjust engine power to help stabilize the vehicle.

Tremor Off-Road Package

The Ranger can easily travel from city streets to off-road with the Tremor Off-Road Package. This optional package includes a modified heavy-duty suspension, FOX shocks, off-road running boards, and front and rear tow hooks. Also included is Ford’s Terrain Management System and Trailer Control.

The Trailer Control system (included in Tremor and FX4) is controlled by the driver and manages braking and throttling on individual wheels. Trailer control keeps the vehicle at a constant speed so the driver can focus on navigating the terrain.

Trailering Features

The Blind Spot Information System with trailer coverage extends the range of the blind spot system to include the trailer. With sensors in the taillamp, the system extends an additional 33 feet, allowing the detection of a vehicle in the blind spot of the trailer.

Electronic Shift On the Fly System

The Electronic Shift-On-The-Fly System (ESOF) allows the driver to shift from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive on the fly. There are two four-wheel drive modes, high or low, and a two-wheel mode which can be controlled by turning a dial.

The 2022 Ranger is a reliable truck that combines power and strength with numerous capabilities. Stop by Brinson Ford Lincoln to see this amazing vehicle, and take it for a test drive.
